It was a fun gathering at The Nottinghamshire last week when the cream of the crop came together to see who was going to be crowned the best of the best for the Wedding Industry Awards for our local East Midlands area.
We were gunning for the best Bridal Retailer but alas it was not to be. We lost out to an exceptional shop, Courtyards Bridal who took the award for the second year running. High Commended went to Dress me Pretty.
We had a wonderful evening mingling with industry friends, Make up By Jenni, Ally from Alexandra Anne, Sophie’s x 2 from Sophie’s Flower Company, Emma and her team at The Walled Garden and many more.

The first award to be announced was the bridal category and once we knew we hadn’t won we spent a relaxing time chatting to other industry experts. A fabulous gin cocktail ( never a bad thing) was supplied at the start of the evening by Beetle Juice – available to hire for your wedding
The setting was lovely and having been to the Nottinghamshire a few times previously to dress the room for our brides we knew we would be treated well.
No event is complete without a photo booth and we had to take part, who doesn’t?
After all the category winners we announced it was a matter of networking and getting to know a few new faces. We talked to Hannah Hall photography who had photographed one of our brides earlier in 2016 at Donnington Park Farm, below is an example of Hannah’s style of photography.

So what do we learn from not winning? Well after reading our customer comments we know we are on the right track. We will keep on keeping on and listening to our customers suggestions on how we can improve.
