When the music came to a gentle finish and the excited whispers hushed, the guests turned around in anticipation. Daniel, brimming with nerves and anticipation, stood at the top of the aisle and as he rotated to follow the gaze of the guests, his eyes fell upon the most beautiful image he’d ever seen. Shannon wore a gold Eliza Jane Howell wedding dress, dripping in embellishments and beading. The floor length gown hugged her figure flawlessly. Paired with a chic fur shoulder wrap and a golden pearl necklace, Shannon looked the epitome of opulence. Shannon’s beaming smile spread from cheek to cheek, highlighted by her rose red lips, brought tears to the eyes of the adoring guests. The spray white flowers tucked into Shannon’s beautiful locks looked angelic matching impeccably with her bridesmaid who emulated her bridal wear with a pale gold beaded gown from WTOO by Watters, at The Wedding Room with a fur wrap and rose headband. The bride and her bridesmaids carried wild flower bouquets from The Wedding Room which effortlessly pulled together the original beauty of the ensembles. As she made her way down the aisle, Daniel’s nerves were relinquished and an overwhelming sense of excitement and pride took over. Shannon and Daniel were ecstatic to say their vows and commit to their lives together, which was met with tremendous glee from all their loving friends and family. The West Mill in Derby was dressed in the glamorous urban vibe with metallic, pastel shades, gold and peach décor to perfectly suit the flowers and the wedding aesthetic. After the ceremony Shannon and Daniel jumped over the broom and celebrated the start of the rest of their lives. With cheers of joy, the couple left the mill house room as Mr and Mrs Scherer.

Shannon, the creative photographer, was only 21 when she was introduced by a mutual friend to the love of her life. Little did he know, Daniel, 24 at the time, would propose to his gorgeous girlfriend on a beach, in his hometown, Javea, Spain. 4 years later the happy couple were dancing away on the night of their wedding, surrounded by those who love them the most. The couple continued the laughter and love when they spent their honeymoon in Disneyland Paris.

Was it a grand or intimate wedding?

It was a grand wedding set in the stunning location, The West Mills, Derby. This converted cotton mill was the perfect setting as it allowed a dazzling, urban, stylish and personal feel to it.

Did your wedding have a theme or colour scheme?

Yes, I went for metallic and pastels, gold and peach particularly.

Please describe the Grooms attire and why he chose it.

My husband struggled to decide what to wear because I refused to tell him the colour of my dress! Luckily, my stepdad helped with my advice on colours and it worked perfectly. He wore a teal and navy three-piece suit with a rose cold skinny tie. Flawless!

Do you have any top tips on how to get the most out of your photographer?

Always ensure you have provided your photographer a full and extensive list of what family shots you absolutely want before the day. This is essential in making sure you will capture every moment and not look back on the day wishing you had more photos of the special day.
