Another sunny morning in Nottingham and as The Wedding Room closes on a Wednesday, it’s my day to head out and about.
On the agenda today is a visit to my old college. Nottingham Trent University… or Trent Poly as it was all those years ago when I was studying Textile Design. I always try and return to look at the degree shows each year whenever possible. It just reminds me of how much I loved studying for my degree and what freedom of creativity you could explore before the constraints of designing a commercial product for production.
Oh can’t wait. I wonder what the style and influeneces will be. I always tend to zoom in on the embroidery students as that’s what I specialised in on my 3rd year. I just know I’m going to be inspired and if I’m honest, a little bit jealous too.
