2014 WEDDING SHOE TRENDS

This year we are stocking one of the best wedding shoe designers which is Rainbow Club. They have been designing, making and colouring their shoes since the 1980s. What is so great about Rainbow Club is their unique dying service. Rainbow offer a special process whereby they can hand colour your shoes and bags to match any colour you can possibly think of to ensure that your accessories are perfectly matched to that very special outfit for any occasion. Rainbow do this in their in-house Colour Studio where all colours are mixed and applied by hand by their expert colourists.

We have found Rainbow extremely popular here at the Wedding Room, with another option of dying your shoes after your wedding, so you can wear your fabulous shoes again!

Here are some of the beautiful shoes we stock which include glitter fabrics, all over lace peep-toe, covered platform, lace overlay and Swarovski crystal designs.

Another new and upcoming designer to check out is Charlotte Mills for her beautiful shoes. She stated, "As long as I can remember I have always had a passion for shoes".

“The design experience I have gained since graduating has really helped me to perfect my craft and develop my skills. Working with master craftsmen and travelling the world have been my greatest sources of inspiration.” Charlotte Mills.

This season her collection is all about love hearts as her debut collection. All of her shoes are handmade in Spain and use techniques such as laser cutting appliqué and embroidery. What we love here at The Wedding Room, is her unique touch of hand finishing each shoe with a silver sixpence and embossing the leather sole with the phrase,

“Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue and a silver sixpence in her shoe.”

Another huge trend this year is luxury embellishment. These beautiful shoes above show of a key element for 2014 brides looking for luxury wedding shoes. Pearls, crystals and diamantes have recently featured in various designs of bridal footwear but the ultimate embellished wedding shoes are the creation of Harriet Wilde. Harriet Wilde's trademark sculptured rose, daisy and leaf embellished heels are designed to impress and become beautiful individual works of art!

If you are feeling far more indulgent, why not have a look at Jimmy Choo' s new bridal couture collection. Stocking shoes for all members of the bridal party, there is a beautiful pair of shoes for everyone. Below we have chosen our favourite shoe featuring a 2014 very popular trend of a high back ankle strap design, seen on numerous celebrities this year.

Flat Is The New Chic

Alternatively, just because we have shown so many heeled shoes for your wedding day, we have found that many of our brides at The Wedding Room have wanted to wear flats to remain comfortable either all day or just in the evening.

We have a found Swarovski or sparkly flat pumps very popular, or why not even go for more comfort with trainer converse, we simply love this idea of embroidered or sparkly converse, keeping your footwear as creative and unique as possible!
