Photographer: Monkey Mole Photography

My wedding photography journey started back in 2016, and the thing I became immediately attracted to wasn’t the heavily staged shots or posing, but the moments of true emotion. Whilst I’d like to think I’ve somewhat progressed as a photographer over my journey, I’ve stayed true to these roots throughout.

What is your best advice leading up to / on the wedding day?

In the lead up to the wedding the best advice I could give is to try not to stress about everything, as hard as it is! I was so stressed about everything going perfectly and on the day it did!! Everything just falls into place in the end.

The best advice for the day of your wedding is to start getting ready way ahead of time as it ended up being a mad rush at the end of bridal prep which was crazy. But most importantly, ENJOY YOUR DAY!!!

What is your most memorable moment of the day?

My most memorable moment of the day was dancing to Frozen with my daughter – it was just magical to see her enjoying herself and us spinning around in our princess dresses.

How did The Wedding Room contribute to a positive build up to your day?

Mary and Lucy were absolutely brilliant, on the ball with my dress and when I needed to come into the shop. I did however love the wedding day announcements that they do on Instagram and was excited for the build up to my day and that they would be announcing mine! I think its a lovely touch.

Can you describe the first look?

A blur!! I rushed down the aisle as I was so nervous about everyone looking at me, but once I got down there it was like we were the only people in the room. One of the first things he said to me was that I looked lovely and that made me feel wonderful.

What did you love the most about your dress?

EVERYTHING!! I felt like a real life princess – the sparkles, the skirt, the train, the lace, I just loved every bit about it and it was magical. The dress was just ‘me’ all over and I felt my most beautiful in it.
