Venue: Wasing Estate

In a quintessentially English setting, full of sophistication and elegance, is the lovingly restored traditional farm hamlet of Wasing. Romantic farm buildings sit alongside the 15th century Parish Church of St Nicholas, including the majestic grade II listed Castle Barn, a Granary sat proudly on its staddle stones and a fairy tale Dovecote, which are all at the heart of this award-winning barn wedding venue.

Photographer: Simply Beautiful Photo and Film

Creative, contemporary and unposed. When choosing your photographer first and foremost love their style. Try to find a style that you feel emotionally connected to – try to imagine yourself in the images. Great images should still evoke emotion even if you are not a part of the real life story.

A message from Emma…

What is your best advice leading up to / on the wedding day?

My advice to future brides would be to make sure you both take a few moments together, dotted throughout the day, to stand back, look around, and take it all in! Everyone there is rooting for you, and wants to share in your happiness – you just won’t stop smiling!

What is your most memorable moment of the day?

It’s too hard to choose just one moment, the whole day was everything we imagined and more! Our band were incredible so I’ve got lots of fun memories dancing with friends and family and singing our hearts out!

How did The Wedding Room contribute to a positive build up to your day?

Mary and Lucy both made the whole experience of finding my wedding dress so perfect. Their calming, zero-pressured, advice helped me to choose the first dress I tried on – so it was a really simple and stress free part of the wedding build up.

Can you describe the first look?

The first look from my dad was way more emotional than I was expecting, he teared up straight away – me and the girls were all trying our best to hold them back…we’d just had our make up done! A special moment, and Sally our lovely photographer captured a brilliant photo to sum it up…

What did you love the most about your dress?

I absolutely loved the train on the dress, the lace was just so pretty, and also the delicate buttons down the back!
