Today we are shining the spotlight on a certain little frock called Thelma!
Thelma, designed by Charlotte Balbier for her Candy Kisses collection, is a dress that has a bit of everything. A touch of Vintage charm, a flattering silhouette, sweetheart neckline and a delicate lace effect train to die for.
One of the things I personally love the most about this dress is the filigree texture of the fabric. Anyone who has entered The Wedding Room know’s my sharp eye for a great fabric – I have 10 years working for Courtaulds Textiles to thank for that. The placement motif has just enough sparkle to catch the light and the pretty scalloped edge is very romantic.
This dress has a lace up back which emphasises the brides figure wonderfully and the detail on the dress continues from the front all the way around the back. A jeweled brooch at the front of the dress gives a real focal point and adds to the ornate decoration of this wonderful wedding dress.
This gown always receives a great reaction when brides to be come into The Wedding Room. Could it be a connection with Nottingham Lace, most likely I think it’s more to do with the fact it’s simply a well designed gown for the modern bride looking for a little hint of vintage .
If you relish the thought of trying Thelma on, or any other of Charlotte Balbier’s gowns then give The Wedding Room a call as we have many more fabulous wedding dresses waiting for you.
